Well done to Bedlinog for travelling to Mountain Ash with 12 players and competing for 80 minutes in this Rhondda and East Glamorgan Championship fixture. Thanks are also due to the lady referee, Bianca Zietsman, who had a good game overall and helped the game along in wet and windy conditions. The Old Firm scored 12 tries in total during the game through wing Curtis Williams (3), full back Gareth Williams (2), centre P.J. Holdham, wing Rhys Price, flanker Jordan Howe, centre Gavin Roberts, scrum half and captain, Jonathan Lock, wing Morgan Evans, and centre Matthew Parfitt. Outside half Nick Bennett kicked 10 conversions. This Saturday, the Mount squad travel to Dowlais to take part in the “Game On” tournament where they will play three games lasting 20 minutes each, firstly against Beddau 2^nd XV, then Penygraig 2^nd XV, and then against the team which is rated the same in the other section. In total, there are two sections, comprising seven 2^nd XVs. These are Dowlais, Tylorstown, Ystrad Rhondda, Brecon, Penygraig, Beddau and Mountain Ash. The first game of the afternoon is at 12:15pm between Dowlais 2^nd XV and Tylorstown 2^nd XV.
