After beating Cardiff Quins 43-31 in the 1st round of the SWALEC Plate, the Old Firm have been drawn at home to fellow Division 1 East Central Club, Rhiwbina, in the 2nd round which takes place on Saturday, 28 October. In the Mid District Cup, Mount are away to Ynysybwl on a date in November yet to be agreed.

This Saturday, 14 October, Mount travel to Llanharan for a League fixture and the 2nd XV play at Duffryn Pennar Park against Ynysybwl 2nd XV in the Rhondda and East Glamorgan League. Both games kick off at 2:30pm. Mountain Ash Youth have been forced to cancel their home game against Abercynon Youth due to suffering numerous injuries in the game against Merthyr last Saturday. The game will be rearranged for later this season.

Tomorrow night, Friday 13 October, Cynon Valley Schools Under 15s play Islwyn Schools Under 15s in the Dewar Shield at Duffryn Pennar Park.
