Win Marks End of Chris Edmunds' 1st XV Career

The home 12-7 win at Duffryn Pennar Park on Saturday saw flanker Chris Edmunds call time on his 1st XV playing career. In total, Chris played 17 seasons at 1st XV level, which saw him play 357 1st XV games. Before that, he played for the club's junior teams and the Youth team. Not only did he play for the Youth XV, he was Team Manager in 1999/2000 in Craig Middlecott's year of captaincy. During his 1st XV career, he captained the team twice, in 2008/09 and 2013/14. In total, from when he started as a junior rugby player to his retirement on Saturday, he has played 26 years for the club. He is a great example of a player who gave his all for the club whatever team he was picked to play in, week in, week out. Farewell Chris, here's to the next step of your career with Mountain Ash RFC. Thanks for the memories.
