Mountain Ash 2nd XV is finishing the season in great style. After scoring 16 tries in their last two games, they added another 6 in this home Rhondda and East Glamorgan Championship game at home to Tylorstown. After a disappointing first half display by Mount, they got their act together after half time and run in some good tries to take their total to 88 tries for the season and register their 12th win from 17 games played. Try scorers during the game were wingers Gareth Williams and Sean Williams, scrum half and captain Jonathan Lock, second row Jonathan Lewis, prop Lee Butts, hooker Darren Dix, with Nathan Treharne kicking 4 conversions. What a feat it would for the Athletic XV if they could get their try total up to 100 for the season.
