Two tries in each half in this hard fought Rhondda and East Glamorgan Championship game away to Llantrisant 2nd XV gave Mount victory. Centre Gareth Williams and flanker Jordan Coxley, who returned from injury, got the first half tries and outside half Jack Roberts, also returning to action, kicked a penalty, for the Old Firm to lead 13-5 at half time. Scrum half and captain, Jonathan Lock, and wing PJ Holden scored second half tries to clinch the match. Roberts made it three conversions and also kicked a penalty to finish with a match points total of 12. The win gave Mount their 4th win from 5 league games played. Unfortunately for them, Bedlinog 2nd XV has withdrawn from the division due to not being able to field a team, and so their record has been expunged, meaning Mount's win over them does not count. This Saturday, 26 January, the 2nds play at Caedrawnant against Porth Harlequins 2nd XV in the Rhondda and East Glamorgan Championship, kick off 2:30pm.
