Mountain Ash 2nd XV made a winning start in a scrappy first game in the Rhondda and East Glamorgan Championship at Caedrawnant. A first half try by full back Gavin Roberts and a penalty and conversion by outside half Declan Conway gave Mount a 10-0 lead at half time. Scrum and captain Jonathan Lock scored the second try after half time to complete a winning start to the season. Next up for Mount is a trip to Ystrad Rhondda in the Championship this Saturday, 8 September.
