Mountain Ash Youth started off like a train against Merthyr Youth in their home Blues Youth League game and scored tries through full back Jarrod Cushion and outside half Morgan James. Hooker Josh Davies had to go off after 20 minutes with a nasty eye gash and that was it for the Young Firm. Merthyr took control, scoring 3 tries in as many minutes and dominated the rest of the game bar for a penalty by James, Merthyr eventually winning 27-17.
