Mountain Ash 2^nd XV won their Rhondda and East Glamorgan Division 1 game away to Senghenydd 2^nd XV 34-12. The Mount forwards proved too strong with driving maul tries being scored by prop Lee Butts, Number 8 Luke Brittain, and hooker Josh Davies. Mount’s fourth try came from a well worked move down the blindside of a scrum by scrum half and captain, Jonathan Lock, and wing Nigel Roberts, which Roberts finished off with a bonus point try. Outside half Matthew Parfitt converted all four tries and also kicked two penalties. Encouragingly, Youth players Rhys Davies, Iwan Pearson, Daniel Phillips and Josh Davies all played in the game and did well. The win lifted Mount to the top of the table.
